About Iryna (Kira)
I am originally from Ukraine. Came to the U.S. in 2009, where I first started painting. I have always had creative ideas, but I thought of painting as a messy process. I was wrong. Nothing compares with fingers covered in paint and the satisfaction achieved after the work is done.
I have never taken painting classes, so my works can never compete with some masterpieces done by professional painters. My paintings represent me, my imagination, and my way of seeing objects in life. They represent who I am. And along with my constantly improving paintings I personally improve. I believe that art brings joy in people’s lives. It is created to make people happy, to bring smiles to their faces. And there is nothing better for an artist than knowing that his/her art is being appreciated. Because then, even when the artist is no more, his/her art lives forever.
